Male teenager killed in Tipperary crash overnight as Gardai issue witness appeal and road closed for examination

A TEENAGER has died following a crash in Co Tipperary during the early hours of this morning.
The collision involved a car and occurred on the L4101 at Lanespark, Ballynonty in Thurles at around 3.45am.
The male driver of the car, an adult teenager, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The young man’s body has been removed to Waterford University Hospital, where a post mortem will take place in due course.
The coroner has been notified of the death.
Following the overnight crash the L4101 remains closed today.
Local diversions are in place while Forensic Collision Investigators carry out an examination.
In a witness appeal this morning Gardai asked anyone with footage from the area to make it available.
A spokesperson said: “Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
“Any road users who were travelling in this area between 3:00am and 3:45am this morning and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
