Davina McCall’s plans to step down from TV revealed after brain tumour ordeal and breast cancer diagnosis
DAVINA McCall plans to step down from TV, following her battles with a brain tumour and breast cancer.
The busy presenter, 58, has fronted many huge shows in the industry including the first series of Big Brother and Long Lost Families.

But in an interview with The Mail on Sunday, Davina’s husband Michael Douglas shed light on her future plans to retire.
He said: “We’ve got five years of hard work left in us.
“Then I think it’s time for us to relax and enjoy all of that hard work. Davina will be about 62 and I’ll be around 58.
“There comes a point where you think, when do we actually sit back and enjoy everything we’ve worked so hard for?
“We’re both happy and healthy individuals, but that might not last forever.”
The news comes just two weeks after Davina and Michael celebrated their love with a second wedding part at her home in Kent.
Their first wedding took place seven months ago at Marylebone Town Hall last December.
At the end of last year Davina shared that she found a small lump in her breast, which turned out to be cancerous.
It came almost a year after the mum-of-three underwent emergency surgery to remove a “very rare” brain tumour.
The rare brain tumour, called a colloid cyst, was found by chance following a routine health screening.
She’s now free from cancer, after giving her fans a health update in April where she revealed that she was given the all clear.
