Mourners at the funeral of Annmarie O’Reilly, who died tragically in Australia have heard how the young mother was devoted to her three sons and will be remembered for her warm and friendly nature.
Annmarie, 30, from Hebron Road, Kilkenny, was found in a critical condition by officers and paramedics when they arrived at the property in Ferntree Gully in Melbourne on Friday, August 21.
Paramedics desperately tried to save the mum-of-three’s life, but she was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Patrick Stokes, 45, who is understood to have known Ms O’Reilly, was arrested close to the scene.
He was taken into custody and has since been charged with one count of murder.
Victoria Police said he appeared before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to appear next on February 23, 2027.
