Incident on M7 motorway is the third this week and the second in less than 12 hours
FOR the second time in less than 12 hours, Limerick commuters are facing long delays following a collision on the M7 motorway.
There are lengthy tailbacks on the northbound carriageway of the M20 and on the eastbound carriageway of the M7, heading in the direction of Dublin.
While details of the incident are unclear, Transport Infrastructure Ireland has confirmed it’s aware of a multi-vehicle collision on the M7 between the Rosbrien Interchange (J30) and J29 (Ballysimon).
The poor weather is contributing to the delays as efforts are being made to clear the incident.
“Some delays to your journey may occur. When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and please obey instructions from emergency services,” reads a notice on the TII website.
The incident is the third on the N18/M7 this week. There was an early-morning collision on Tuesday morning and another this Thursday morning
