A BIZARRE incident took place in Limerick city on Thursday night with a man jumping from car to car in heavy traffic.
It took place at the busy junction between O’Connell Street and Sarsfield Street in the city centre.
A video, which has been seen by Limerick Live, has been widely shared on social media. It shows an individual standing on top of a vehicle while a man at the car door – who appears to be the driver – roars, ‘Get off my f***ing roof’, ‘Get off my car’, ‘Get off it’.
A delivery driver’s bike is lying on the ground near the vehicle. It is not known why or how the man came to be on top of the roof of the SUV-type vehicle.
He then jumps onto the roof of another car, which is pulled up at the traffic lights which are now green, before hopping down onto the ground and running off down Patrick Street.
Limerick Live contacted An Garda Siochana about the matter, however, it doesn’t appear that they were called to attend the scene.
A garda spokesperson said they were unable to locate any incident “matching the description provided on our system at this time”.
