Evil Joe O’Reilly gets secret meet with family OUTSIDE jail as Rachel Callaly’s brother fumes ‘we can only go to grave’

BRUTAL wife killer Joe O’Reilly had a secret meeting with his family outside jail last year, The Irish Sun can reveal.
But victim Rachel Callaly’s heartbroken brother Paul fumed: “It’s a disgrace that he gets to meet his family outside his prison — but we can only go to a graveyard.”
O’Reilly — who murdered mum Rachel, 30, at their home in the Naul, north Dublin — was brought from the Midlands Prison under a ‘Section 39’ visit to meet relatives “outside the prison setting” at a secret location.
It’s the first time the coward — prisoner number 42807 — enjoyed an outside visit since his conviction in 2007 for the brutal murder of his wife on October 4, 2004.
During the meeting, the killer, 54, was escorted by three prison staff before being returned to his cell.
Before the visit, the Irish Prison Service undertook a “risk assessment” of the location.
Rachel’s brother Paul Callaly confirmed the IPS Victim Liaison Service had informed them of the killer’s outside meeting.
Paul has now asked prison bosses to confirm if the monster — who has never shown any remorse for the murder — has enjoyed other outside visits this year.
He said: “This man is a master of manipulation who has never shown any remorse for taking an innocent mother’s life.
“The decision to let him out to meet his family is a privilege and a perk.
“He committed an awful crime so he should only be able to see his family in prison.
“I will now be asking the IPS if they can confirm if he has enjoyed any other visits outside the prison.
“We told the IPS we were totally opposed to him being released for any period of time and this will always be our position.”
Our revelation on the sick brute comes as he prepares to have his FIFTH parole hearing next month.
Ahead of his application, Paul confirmed how he would appear before the parole board to oppose O’Reilly’s latest bid for freedom.
Paul added: “We are looking forward to appearing before the parole board to inform them of our reasons to keep this coward behind bars.
“We are in no doubt he will always pose a danger to women.
“Going through the parole process is yet more torture for our family. We are the ones who received a life sentence — not him.
“He should be spending the rest of his life in prison because of what he did. O’Reilly will always be inherently evil — people like him don’t change.”
Rachel’s heartbroken mum Rose also told of her torment over the killer’s parole bid.
She said: “The murder of my precious daughter feels as if it happened yesterday.
“Rachel’s murder ruined our lives and here we are again having to prepare to face another parole hearing. It’s so cruel to think he has this opportunity once again.
“He shouldn’t be enjoying any privileges because of what he did.”
