Irish actor’s lookalike son makes red carpet appearance after landing role in HBO series – can you guess his famous dad?

The 19-year-old is the spitting image of his actor father and has now followed in the footsteps, by landing a new acting role.

The youngster was seen walking the red carpet in a cut-out grey jumper and black trousers.

It’s none other than Peaky Blinders and Oscar winner Cillian Murphy.

Fans were left stunned after his son Aran stepped out on the red carpet for a special screening of his upcoming HBO series.

The teen has landed a role in the highly anticipated new drama Youth.

Aran is set to appear alongside a star-studded cast, including fellow Irish actress Sharon Horgan, Rupert Friend and Robbie Gee.

The rising star joined his co-stars on the red carpet on Friday night as they celebrated the new show.

During interviews, Aran spoke about future dream roles, whether millennials are “cringe” and how he helped the production with all things online.

But it wasn’t just his new acting role that caught fans’ attention.

Social media users were amazed by the 19-year-old’s striking resemblance to his famous dad after seeing him on the red carpet.

The teenager has already landed a role in another HBO drama, War, starring Dominic West and Sienna Miller.

The series centres on two elite London law firms locked in a brutal battle over the divorce case of the century.

But the young star isn’t stopping there.

He’s also set to make his big-screen debut in the film adaptation of Klara and the Sun, directed by Taika Waititi.

Cillian and artist Yvonne McGuinness have been married since 2004 and share two sons, Aran and Malachy.
