Woman’s body discovered in Dublin park as gardai seal off scene for forensic examination

THE body of a woman was discovered in a Dublin park this morning.
Gardai at Sundrive Road were alerted to the grim find shortly before 9am.
The woman was found dead in Ravensdale Park in Kimmage, an area in the south-west of the capital.
The scene has been preserved for forensic examination and the Coroner has been notified.
It’s currently understood that foul play is not suspected.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The results of this will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Gardai at Sundrive Road were alerted after the body of a woman was discovered in a park in the Kimmage area of Dublin on 25th August 2026.
“The discovery occurred shortly before 9am.
“The scene has been preserved for forensic examination and the Coroner has been notified.
“A post-mortem examination will be arranged, the results of which will determine the course of the Garda investigation. Inquiries are ongoing.
