Christy Kinahan ordered to leave Dubai after visa revoked with gangster running scared amid €5m bounty & passport probe

GODFATHER Christy ‘The Dapper Don’ Kinahan has been ordered to leave Dubai.

Kinahan – the founder of Ireland’s deadliest narco terrorist gang – was ordered to leave the United Arab Emirates two weeks ago after having his residency revoked.

Although his residency in the UAE expired in April, he was able to appeal that decision in the Dubai courts.

But it’s believed he lost his final appeals in recent weeks.

After his visa had expired, he was also hit with a financial penalty for overstaying his visa.

It’s not clear if he paid any fines to the UAE.

One theory is that he could return to the UK.

Although he still has a €5m bounty on his head from the US authorities, he’s not the subject of any charges in the UK.

But he is still under investigation by the Spanish police into travelling on a false passport.

One source said: “Christy Kinahan’s time in Dubai has come to an end.

“The only reason he went there in the first place is because he wanted to keep out of reach of law enforcement in Europe.

“The authorities in Dubai want him out because he is seen as toxic despite his links to big business and senior industry and political figures in the country.

“He still has a bounty on his head and who knows where he could end up.”

Kinahan, 69, who was described in secret Spanish police files as the head of the ‘Irish Mafia’, has been living in the UAE for the last ten years.

Although he has previously flown to Holland during his time in the Middle East, he has rarely left his desert bolt-hole.

Kinahan had been flying on a British passport and had been connected to the region since 2007 – often making frequent flights before making his stay permanent in 2016.

On the rare occasions he did leave Dubai, it was to attend conferences on the airline industry in Zimbabwe when he posed as a legitimate businessman.

The decision to deport him from the country he called home has now left his youngest son, Christopher, 45, isolated.

The source added: “Christopher Junior will be coming under even more pressure now.”

The last two times the Dapper Don was in Ireland was in October 1997 when he attended his father’s funeral and also for his youngest son’s wedding in 2006.

He moved to the Costa del Sol permanently over 25 years ago where he laid the foundations for his criminal organisation’s billion euro empire.

He made the decision to move to Spain over fears he and other senior members of the gang could be arrested in Ireland.

But they later left Spain after Gardai increased their international outreach by forging close relationships with their counterparts in the UK, Holland and Spain.

Although one of the world’s most wanted men, Christy Kinahan also spent his time in Dubai leaving online restaurant reviews.
