JON Bon Jovi halted a gig and fled the stage as he told the crowd ‘I’m hurt’ – just weeks before kicking off his huge UK tour.
The legendary rock star, 64, was performing at Madison Square Garden on Thursday when he faced difficulty getting through his set.
It was the penultimate show of his nine-show residency at the New York venue for his Forever Tour.
Although after singing “Livin’ on a Prayer”, he told the crowd: “I’m sorry, I’m hurt and you’re not getting the best of me”, according to Page Six.
The singer added: “Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out, OK?
“Just hold onto it, we’ll figure out how to reschedule.”
He concluded before leaving the stage: “But I’m gonna have to cool it for the night. I feel great.”
In a statement to Page Six, reps for the singer said the concert ended after Jon told the crowd he was battling a sinus infection.
He had been performing on stage for 90 minutes before ultimately stopping the gig.
The statement added: “Updated information will be available shortly.”
It comes just weeks before Bon Jovi’s UK and Ireland ‘Forever’ tour is set to launch.
First up is Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Friday, August 28.
Then Croke Park in Dublin on Sunday, August 30, followed by Wembley Stadium in London on September 4, 6 and 9.
