‘It’s never too late’ says Una Healy she reveals she’s six months sober in powerful statement

UNA Healy has revealed that she is officially six months sober in a powerful statement.
The former Saturdays star took to Instagram today to open up on her alcohol-free journey and give her fans a “little update”.
Una posted a glowing photo of herself looking happier than ever and said: “Six months off the drink my biggest regret is….”
The next slide was a blank screen – to show that “so far”, she has no regrets.
The mum-of-two captioned her post: “This page could have been full of regrets, but I chose to put down the drink.”
“If you’re sober curious, you won’t regret it. It’s never too late. One day at a time — that’s all we have.”
The Tipperary beauty’s friends and fans all shared their support and congratulations in the comment section.
Comedian Mark Mehigan wrote: “Legend, Una. You deserve every bit of freedom it brings. Keep going. One day at a time.”
Radio star Dermot Whelan said: “Fantastic Una!”
Mairead remarked: “Congrats Una – yes one day at a time.”
The Saturdays singer recently stepped in to co-host the Six O’Clock Show alongside Brian Dowling for a week.
Last month, Brian’s longtime presenting partner Katja Mia permanently stepped away from the programme to join RTE 2FM and the station is yet to announce her replacement.
Una has filled in on the show over the years, with her last stint being in 2022.
Speaking at the launch of this year’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby, the mum-of-two opened up about whether she sees a future on the series.
Una said: “I love it, but I’m just so busy at the minute.
“I don’t know if I could commit to it full time, but if there’s one TV job that I would love to do, it will be that, because I love working with Brian.
“I’m really good friends with him as well. So that would even be like working with friends.”
